The Dating Stage
Hello Gorgeous,
Here are some useful dating tips to pass through THE DATING STAGE ( and some are adopted from my own personal experiences which I've learnt through the good/hard ways ):
DON'T TALK ABOUT PAST RELATIONSHIPS
This is the most common mistake that people like to do during the first few dates.
They love to ask questions about their date's ex bf/gf !!!
Why would you wanna dig a grave for yourself and commit a dating suicide ?
If you ask your date about their ex, *in exchange* you'll have to reveal your past relationships to them as well.
It is not beneficial to spend time dredging up the details of the past relationship in a dating situation.
Eventually, you will start mindfucking yourself ( e.g. " Eee why this guy is dating XXX kind of girl ? Must he be so low class ? ) !!!
.... or worst your date start MINDJUDGING YOU !!!
Furthermore, you won't truly know the accuracy of the information that you're getting ( because *to be honest* who doesn't like to play the victim when ask about their past relationships ??? ).
BE VERY OBSERVANT
You will never know what you're getting once you start to realize what you're getting.
Open your eyes and pay attention to those massive signs ( e.g the complainer, the gianpeng, the cheapskate etc ) during the first few dates !!!
Watch how your date treats others because it is a good indicator on how he/she values relationships and how he/she tries to connect with others.
* With that said * Nowadays, everyone is smart enough to put on a "persona" during the first few dates ( like gey siao act one nice guy/ sweet girl ), so what you can do is ...
WAIT TILL THE SUBSEQUENT DATES TO PASS OR FAIL HIM/HER !!!
DON'T TALK TOO MUCH
* To be honest * This is that one thing that always fuck me up BIG TIME !!!
Because I talk too much !!! LOL !!!
During the first few dates, I will start to get too comfortable and reveal shitloads of information about myself and * yeah * I never hear from my date ever again !!! *sobs*
So I've learnt my lesson, to keep the conversion as simple as possible and try to act one mysterious infront of my date ( so my date will have the curiosity to find out more about me; which also means I just won myself a follow-up date !!! LOL )
DON'T CHALLENGE YOUR DATE
This is also another common mistake ( and until now I don't understand the fun of it ).
I understand that everyone likes their talent to be recognized but you don't necessary have to get that recognition from your date ( through challenging them ) because
you're either making yourself look like a crazy competitive bitch ( which boys hate to date ) or some freaking assholes ( that girls will never fuck ).
So what you can do is to stay humble with your talents or just flaunt it when necessary !!!
ADOPT THE "YES" ATTITUDE
Lastly, this is the best method that I've learnt and it works !!!
No matter what your date does or say, respond with a " YES [ and fill in the blank with your own addtion of the story ]! "
That allows the conversation to continue and he/she will think that you're positive/enthusiastic towards him/her.
Of cos this method use it when you start to feel that he/she is the right one lah ( those CMIs one, please don't use this method because you're just luring in a hungry tiger !!! LOL )
.
.
.
In conclusion, don't stress yourself/over-analyzed too much.
Afterall, it's The Dating STAGE !!!
You can choose what character you wanna play or what scripts you wanna deliver >;) !!!
Happy Dating <3 <3 <3

Hahaha, had to laugh at the last part of "adopt the yes attitude". ^^
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I've noticed is that ppl nowadays seem to rush through the dating phase, which is sad to me. I prefer things to develop a bit slower w/out all the rushing. But maybe that's just the case in Berlin. xD
Gotta say nice post as always Eric! ;)
